Ask, Seek, Knock

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? 11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!  (Matthew 7:7-11)
Here the Lord Jesus says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.” What is being asked for here? From verse 11 we can see that they are good gifts. What good gifts are they? From the parallel passage Luke 11:13, we know that the good gifts here refer to the Holy Spirit,  That is the heavenly Father is willing to give Holy Spirit to those who ask Him. But you may not receive it as soon as you ask. You should ask until you receive, seek until you find, and knock until the door is opened. Asking for the Holy Spirit here means asking for the Lord Himself and ask for His presence.
May God bless you and your family. 🙏😊
