About Jerusalem

37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 38 Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’” Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.” (Matthew 23:37-39/24:1-2)
We see from the history of Israel, they often killed the prophets sent by God, and later they crucified the Son of God, the Lord Jesus on the cross. Here the Lord Jesus said: “How often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.” They did not take refuge under the wings of God, the wings of the Lord, so they could not get the protection from God, from the Lord, so their house became desolate. The nation of Israel was destroyed in 722 BC. Here the Lord Jesus predicted the destruction of the temple, the second temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD, and the first temple was destroyed in 586 BC. But God did not forget his people, and Israel was restored as a nation in 1948 after more than 2,000 years of destruction.
25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, 26 and in this way all Israel will be saved. As it is written: “The deliverer will come from Zion; he will turn godlessness away from Jacob. (Romans 11:25-26)
The Bible predicted that when the number of us non-Israelite Gentiles who are saved is full, all Israel will be saved. That is, at the end of the age, when the time of the Gentile ends, all Israel will be saved.
May God bless you and your family!
