Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven

18 At that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who, then, is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me. (Matthew 18:1-5)
When the disciples asked the Lord Jesus: “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” The Lord Jesus answered, “Truly I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. ” Here the Lord Jesus said that if you want to be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven, you must be humble like this little child.
For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12)
Here the Lord Jesus said that if a person humbles himself, he will be exalted, and if a person exalts himself, he will be humbled.
6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, (Philippians 2:6-9)
The Lord Jesus is the Son of God, he is in very nature God, yet he humbled himself and obeyed to the point of death, even died on the cross. God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.
Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:19)
Here the Lord Jesus said: Whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do so will be called the least in the kingdom of heaven; whoever keeps and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
May God bless you and your family!
