The parable of the lost coin

“Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ 10 In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” (Luke 15:8-10)
Here we see that a woman who has ten silver coins and loses one. One silver coin is equivalent to one day’s wages. The woman lights up the lamp, cleans the house, and looks for it carefully until she finds it. We saw that this woman searched carefully until she found it. We also saw that this silver coin was precious to the woman, so she searched for it carefully until she found it. She was very happy after she found it. What does the silver coin represent?  The silver coin represents sinner. It says above that there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents. When a sinner repents, the heaven rejoices for him, the angels rejoice for him, heavenly Father, Lord Jesus rejoices for him.

For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. (Luke 19:10)
The Son of Man here refers to Lord Jesus, he came to seek and save the lost. When we haven’t believed in the Lord, we were all like lost sheep, went our own way, and we were all lost. Lord Jesus came to the world to seek and save the lost. When sinners repent and turn to him and are saved, the heaven rejoices for them.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
In order to save the world and to save sinners, Jesus Christ died on the cross to redeem sinners. This shows the great love of Christ and the great love of God. God wants all people to return to him, be saved, and have eternal life.
May God bless you and your family. 🙏😀
